predic
Hi,I tried to solve problem with File-Secure stupidities, so I uninstalled it (through safe mode), I installed cc-cleaner and I deleted a lot of garbage, I moved IE7 so now I have old version and I am thinking will problem be back if I install again IE7...... file secure produiced fake problems, fake warnings, and in google was always written that webbrowser is hijacked with some porno. BUT, today yahoo messenger and yahoo mail don't want to work. I tried other mail servers, but the same: no chance. IE and Firefox refuse to open it. always: Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at login.yahoo.com. so is it problem with firewall or something else and how to repair it? now when I type something in google, there is no message that webbrowser is hijacked. but mail accounts doesn't work... in the both webbrowsers: IE and firefox. so I got opinion that problem with file secure is solved (no more fake warnings, no more warning "hijacked" in google), but now there is problem with mail accounts. yeah, it is XP sp2.ups, sorry, I just saw now that it is so when I am Guest, when I am admin problem with file secure is still present. when i am admin I can open mail yahoo, but there is still problem with file secure.so question: 1)how to solve problem, when I am guest, just to have possibility to open mail accounts? (other things are okey)2)how to solve problem, when I am admin, to move finally stupid file secure warnings?
Rick1
Maybe it's just me, but it sounds like you need to run a full virus and spyware scan.
Dencandy
Then you need to clean up your computer. Try this on-line scanner from Trend Micro Housecall. Then look at this advice about cleaning your computer. Also stop using the Guest account, it's very insecure. If you don't want to use an Administrator account, use a limited user account instead, they are much more secure.
andsome
Fake problems and warnings are NOTHING at all to do with IE 7 which is run perfectly well by millions. I agree with the suggestions to clean things up. What firewall and AV program do you use, and are they both updated regularly? :D
Dencandy
This app called File-Secure comes from a site called brothersoft.com. According to McAfee Site Advisor that site is a well known distributor of viruses, trojans and adware. Best to stay from brothersoft.com .
