Alan2273 Posted February 27, 2008 Report Share Posted February 27, 2008 I am not sure if this is hardware or software related.On the wifes computer the sound fluctuates, it is onboard soundMAX HD audio.There are no updates for the drivers, so I am at a loss what to try next.Any suggestions welcome. Alan2273 Posted February 27, 2008 Author Report Share Posted February 27, 2008 Problem solved, I had an old PCI sound card, I fitted that, used Everest home to find out exactly what the soundcard was, downloaded and installed the drivers, disabled the onboard sound in the BIOS and viola problem solved.
