Can't load Windows

Hi folks, I wonder if anyone can give me some advice. My PC seemed to shut down fine yesterday

but now when I turn it on I get a message that Windows has failed to load. It gives me options of

trying again with a regular install, Last known Good Configuration or Safe Mode. If I attempt any

of these options the screen goes black, I then get a no video signal message before I am returned

to the screen showing the Windows options.

Any ideas of anything I could try? I have a Windows disk but no external backup.

Might first be worth checking that all cables and connections are secure.

Thanks chaps, after a bit of digging it seems I have the mup.sys problem. If you have found a definitive fix for this please let me know.
