T27M Posted March 2, 2008 Report Share Posted March 2, 2008 hiive been running my homebuilt PC for a while and now ive started getting svchost.exe 100% usage. Ive tried a few hotfixes but nothing is working, ive downloaded Process Explorer and found out 3 threads that are causing the problem. I looked here http://www.neuber.com/taskmanager/process/kernel32.dll.html and there is many different views on what it is. Ive suspended them and my CPU usage has dropped to 0 %.Here they are : kernel32.dll!CreateThread+0x22kernel32.dll!CreateThread+0x22kernel32.dll!CreateThread+0x22 There is 4 but one doesnt seem to be doing much.Just needing some help or adviceP.S im running XP SP2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

T27M Posted March 2, 2008 Author Report Share Posted March 2, 2008 i found a smitfraud virus fix program i ran it in safemode and it says that my computer wasnt infected with the virus. Any other ideas thanks for your help. Also i cant http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ to run it just loads forever i tried the new release aswell and the same hapens.
