rodney Posted March 2, 2008 Report Share Posted March 2, 2008 I have a problem with windows update: msn messenger informed me, that there's a new version, but when i ity to download it, it says that i need to get a new update first. Ok so i try to do that, but the web site gives me an error - [Error number: 0x80072EE7]. I tryed the troubleshooter and the FAQ, but nothing seems to work.How can i fix this? Dencandy Posted March 3, 2008 Report Share Posted March 3, 2008 I think this can sometimes be caused by a firewall blocking the connection. If you use the Windows firewall I think this shouldn't happen, but if you use another firewall, you can try switching it off and switching the Windows firewall back on for this update. It's worth a try.There's another possible solution here at helplineforit.Other than these solutions and what's been advised by others, I've no more suggestions.
