Alan2273
Need some help on this one.A friend asked me to look at his computer because whenever he puts a blank disk in it says disk not accessable and when I clicked on properties for both of the drives, it showed the format as RAW, ( to me that is a photgraphic extension) and as he is a keen photographer I am assuming somehow he has changed the drives to RAW files. The drives are a HP DVD640 lightscribe and a LG combi CDRW/DVD.He is running XP SP2 home and there is no virus on it.Can anyone suggest a way to get these drives back to normal, so when you put a disk in it can be written to. Irene
I seem to recall having this problem a long time ago. I just wish I could remember how I cured it!!This is a very obvious answer, but I thought it worth mentioning.... Has your friend acidentally disabled the drive? Alan2273
The devices are enabled, and they will both read CD's & DVD's.I have found a workaround for the problem but not a cure.
