Alan2273
Just a general question. Will all 32 bit software be compatable with XP Pro 64 bit OS.
Boris
As I understand it, while XP 64-bit is backwards-compatible for the most part with 32-bit software, as it does not include a 16-bit subsystem, legacy MS-DOS and 16-bit Windows applications will not run on it. andsome
I have always wondered whether a new computer running on 64 bit would run old 32 bit programs like Office 2000. So are you saying that it will? :D
Raddy
There's two program folders in XP Pro x64, one called "Program Files" for 64-bit programs, and the other is "Program Files (x86)" for 32-bit applications. During install, the correct folder is automatically detected and selected.
