ding_dong Posted March 29, 2008 Report Share Posted March 29, 2008 Hi all , My windows runs fine for nearly 5 days after installation and then probelms start . Movie files are not played normally .Audio and video are struck in between for few seconds and resume after it . startup time increases and windows becomes slow on the whole.Same problem arises every time i reinstall windows.Everything is fine with linux though. Dencandy Posted March 29, 2008 Report Share Posted March 29, 2008 Hello ding dong. 1 Can you start and run programmes in Safe Mode (excluding a media player)?2 Which media utility are you using? If you uninstall it, does the computer run OK?3 Did you install any new programmes just before this problem started? If yes, uninstall them one by one(or stop them starting up) & see if you get normal start up and running of Windows.4 Do you know how to look at your start up programmes using a utility like StartUp Inspector? Is there anything starting up there that you do not recognise?Please try to answer all these questions as well as Pat Willener's. Take your time, you need to eliminate each possibility one by one.
