catbags
Hi all you Computer Guru's OS Windows XP SP2.Trying to do a System Restore on my friend's computer. When I select a date it shows the time and description of the saved restore point. When I click OK it goes thro' the procedure with the message restoring files and the progress indicator, computer closes down and then reboots. During the reboot process a page appears from the System Restore program stating that the System Restore was not successful and that the computer has not been restored to a previous point. This happened on four different restore points that all showed a time and description of the restore point.Anyone got any ideas how I overcome this.Cheers.Dave

-pops-
This can happen if you have System Restore functioning on multiple drives or partitions. It is best only to have SR on your "C" drive - the one with the operating system on it.May not be this but it is something I've come across in the past.
