shinobitechno
I currently use Trend Micro antivirus, Spy Sweeper, Ad-Aware, and avast! and i was wondering if those were enough protection from malicious software like viruses and worms. if not what else can i use / do to protect myself? -pops-
Do you mean you have Trend Micro (other than Housecall - used to be PC-cillin) and Avast installed together? It is not advisable to have more than one anti-virus program working at the same time. What firewall do you have? Dencandy
shinobitechno, it looks like you've got some protection against:viruses, spyware & trojan horses. In addition to -pops- advice above, if you do a lot of surfing I personally would also recommend additional protection for your systems and processes together with a website checker. To protect your systems and processes in real time you could try WinPatrol (here) [or Defender (here)] & Threatfire (here). All have free versions for legal home users. For a website checker there's McAfee SiteAdvisor (here).Replace the Windows 1-way Firewall with a 2-way one. Try Comodo, Kerio Sunbelt or Sygate.
