doug
A friend is having problems. She's running Vista Home Premium. Recently, when shutting down. it started installing 3 updates. She's not sure but at the second or 3rd of these her PC ran into some sort of problem. Now whenever she boots up normally it seems to go into an endless loop saying there's a problem then sends her into re-start. She's tried a rollback but that was only partly successful. It wont let her access the internet. Yesterday I found that we could get into the internet via Safe Mode with networking. Now I know nothing about Vista hence this plead for suggestions for help. AlanHo
I use Vista but have not experienced such problems. I assume she has used Restore as far back as available.Have you tried running CCleaner to see if it will unscramble the problem. You should be able to use control panel to uninstall the updates.Navigate :-Control PanelProgrammes & FeaturesIn left pane click on "View Installed Updates"All updates are listed with the date of installation - you can uninstall selected ones from here. However, there is a possibility that a corrupted update may not show in the list as installed. I'm afraid I am not sure about this.Sorry I can't help more
