I re-installed XP Home.

Rebooted and had to problems - went straight to desktop.

downloade all updates (110) and rebooted.

Now I have to select user to get to desktop.

How do I remove this feature?

1. Go to Start/Run and type in:

control userpasswords2

and press ok.

2. On the Users tab, clear the Users Must Enter A User Name And Password To

Use This Computer check box and then click OK.

3. In the Automatically Log On dialog box that appears, type the user name

and password for the account you want to be logged on each time you start

your computer.

If you mean that you now have to log on when you didn't before, this is due to a Microsoft update. You can change this in Control Panel/User Accounts, or have I misunderstood the question? :D
