denno
I bought a new computer, then plugged in my old HD and moved my old files and so forth into the new one. Both ran XP Home, if it matters. Now, then....when I open IE and click on my Favorites (star icon), all I see are things I've saved there since the changeover (month ago). When I click on "Add to Favorites" (star and plus icon) and look at the whole list there, I can see all my old, extensive favorites list. But I can't go from there to any of them. Can I get the old list to come up when I click Favorites?ThanksDenno
AlanHo
If you are using Vista the favorites folder is located at C:/Users/Your name/favorites.Open this using Windows Explorer and see if it provides any clues. It should be the list of all favorites available. When I had to reinstall Vista some time ago I moved all my data files, including favorites, to my second hard drive (D:) but IE7 did not like it and the add favorites button did not work properly. Moving the favorites back to the C: drive fixed it. Have you moved your favorites to another drive I wonder?
Dencandy
Hello denno! There's a useful Microsoft IE7 Help Page at this location: http://support.microsoft.com/ph/8722#tab0. You'll see that they even provide telephone and e-mail advice.
