popey Posted June 2, 2008 Report Share Posted June 2, 2008 hello, i have 17.73GB free space and trying to make its logical drive but i am getting the following error "an unexpected error has occured .check the system event log for maro information." In system event log i found error source LDM , event id 2 with description " the parameter is incorrect 80070057" i have linux installed on my system.....while creating new logical drive through right clicking and new logical drive , it is showing the maximum disk space in MB is 18152......the file system i filled is NTFS and the allocation unit size i used is default....now clicking on finish i am getting the above error .......plz help Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Alan2273 Posted June 2, 2008 Report Share Posted June 2, 2008 Are you trying to create a logical drive through disk management in Windows?.Is your drive already partitioned?, if not it will not allow you to alter the drive with the operating system on it.If you have linux installed use G-Parted it it a lot easier.
