andsome Posted June 3, 2008 Report Share Posted June 3, 2008 In W98 the window showing the result of Scan disk used to stay on screen until closed. However, in XP Home the check disk summary window is only on screen for a couple of seconds, followed by another blue screen part way through start up stating that the volume is clean, this also only stays on screen for a brief moment. My question is, that if on one occasion there were errors on the disk, would one of these windows stay an screen until closed so that the problem would be spotted. It is not practical to sit and watch the whole of the program as it takes so long, and it is possible even with popping back frequently to check up, to miss the summary. :D Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
