satan1984 Posted June 19, 2008 Report Share Posted June 19, 2008 Hi,I have this problem with time reseting on my system. it resets to january 29, 2000 at 0000hrs everytime i turn on windows. I have read that this is due to some battery problem, but i do not think so. the time does not reset immediately when window loads. it resets after some loading has happened. the time also resets when i click on the drives in my computer and when i click on defragment. the reset problem does not happen when i recover the system from hibernation. nor does it occur when i start the comp using the ubuntu OS. The problem first happen when i stick in my thumb drive. An msg from Spybot says that bigdog.exe is trying to change the register or something. denying or accepting the change does not make a difference, the time resets anyway. i have tried to search for bigdog.exe and delete it. however, it keeps appearing in windows/prefetch. anyone knows how to solve the time reset problem?thanks for helping Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The way that the time works in Ubuntu is different than the way that newer Windows version work. Dencandy Posted June 24, 2008 Report Share Posted June 24, 2008 Bigdog.exe is the name of a Windows system file but there's also a trojan/adware of that name.
