In it somme program creates now each day a file named "ciscoIHV.log" which I don´t know what it is and I would like to delete, but I'm not alloud.Somme one knows what is crating this file each time I switch my PC on?The attached file was renamed to ciscoIHV.txt because I couldn't upload it as log fileThank you for your helpciscoIHV.txt Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I had the same problem, don't know exactly what generated the file (suppose it was some wireless application) but got rid of it finally.After following other peoples' advice on stopping several processes using the Windows Task Manager (which didn't help at first), I accidentally stopped a system's process which made Windows (Vista, by the way) start in safe mode. Then choosing the DOS modus with command prompt allowed me to first delete the ciscoIHV.log file (del c:\test\ciscoIHV.log) and then the test folder using the \s option (rmdir \s c:\test). In short: try to remove the folder from the command prompt using not just rmdir but rmdir \s (or rmdir \q) - and viola, the folder may be gone. Otherwise start Windows in safe mode using the command prompt, and then try the above. Hope this works for you - otherwise good luck. My hope is that someone will spot this and have some insights as to whether the operating system (I am using Vista), an application or unwanted malware is generating this. I have absolutely no Cisco hardware or software (that I know of) on my computer or the network that I connect to.
