smagub
Ok I have a problem... The other day I was doing a clean out on my harddrive, getting rid of programs I don't use anymore etc, and I accidentally deleted the file tjerdxma.dllThe computer then started flashing up this message on start up:Error loading C:\WINDOWS\system32\tjerdxma.dllSo I tried a file recover, found the file, and put it back in the system 32 folder. But now I get the message:C:\WINDOWS\system32\tjerdxma.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette. And the message:Error loading C:\WINDOWS\system32\tjerdxma.dll %1 is not a valid operation. And I'm also having lots of problems installing any files I download from the net (the network source is unavailable or something...?)Can anyone help? From the sounds of the message I think I might need to re-install windows, but I haven't got the CD on me as I'm on holiday. Does anyone know of an easier way? Maybe I just put it back in the wrong folder?Any help would be much appreciated!
andsome
I can't help with the problem, but this sounds like another occasion to push advice given on here many time by 'pops'. Once you have things sorted out, invest in a program like Acronis, and a separate plug in hard drive and make a mirror image. This way you can always reinstall the image if such a problem occurs again. :D
Scarecrow Man
Sounds like a virus. That is not a file normally used by Bonjour. Please do a scan here, and post back the results.
smagub
Sounds like a virus. That is not a file normally used by Bonjour. Please do a scan here, and post back the results.Crap. Tried it and whatever this is it's slowing down my internet and computer so much that the scan won't work. It's starting to affect other programs now too. Namely my iTunes (the program doesn't start up when I connect the player to the computer). I have McAffee virus software and ran that but nothing came up. I can do a system restore back to the dat when it started going wrong but things always get bad again afterwards.I appreciate the help though. :) Any other ideas?x
Irene
Hello smagub. :D Go back to the link which Scarecrow Man gave, then when it loads, use the New Version 6.6 which is in red text, next to the main scan icon..... It is much quicker. Definitely worth a try.
Scarecrow Man
You can also try: http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscannerhttp://support.f-secure.com/enu/home/ols.shtmlOr if none of those work, try a few from here:http://www.google.com/search?q=free+online+virus+scan

I left it running over night this time, but it crashed after I went to sleep. This came up:The instruction at "0x77124920" refernced memory at "0x77124920" could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program. Before it crashed i did notice that it picked up 2 malware, but i didn't get to check the specifics. I'll run another virus scan later today and see if there is any difference. Thanks everyone for being so persevereing!
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Make sure that you temporarily disable your antivirus' on-access scan while running the online scan.
smagub
Make sure that you temporarily disable your antivirus' on-access scan while running the online scan. Thanks everyone. In the end I gave up and asked the IT guy at my dad's office to look at it. They said there were some trojans which had screwed up my windows so they got rid of them and then did a complete reinstall of windows. Thanks for all the help you tried to give!!!!!!!!!!!!x
