andsome
The only advice that I can offer at present is that in order for some of the experts on here to help, you need to give a lot more information. What is the operating system? What service packs are installed? What firewall and anti virus program do you use?The above are a good start, plus any other information anyone else asks for. :D

ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
I had to use system recover and LOST everthing ...Does that mean that you reinstalled Windows? If so, there is really not much more that you can do now, unless you have a full system backup. If this ever happens again, try a System Restore in Safe Mode; that will just undo the Windows update(s) that caused the problem. -pops-
Are you sure it was a genuine Windows update?Microsoft normally only issue updates on the first Tuesday/Wednesday of each month. unless very urgent. Seems odd that you should receive an update when you say you did.
Tanmaya
Hi,Indeed, Windows updates have crashed your computer. Why these updates crash computer is because, when you select automatically installation of the update on the system, it does install each and every update available, (some times all updates are not necessary), some security patches which come along with these updates make all ports blocking resulting in to the System inaccessible, So my small suggestion is to install selective updates and be careful with the Security patches.
