strick9 Posted November 17, 2008 Report Share Posted November 17, 2008 In my folder of Excel files there is one that I can't open. Naturally it's the one I use most often. When I try to open it I get an error message as follows:AccountIDs.xls can not be accessed. The file may be read-only, or you may be trying to access a read-only location. Or, the server the document is stored on may not be responding.I've checked and the file isn't read-only and it isn't on a server. However I recently moved the whole folder, along with another folder, to Carbonite web storage. The file I'm trying to open is on my hard drive.What's causing this problem (this file has been opened hundreds of times) and what can I do to fix it?Thank you. I've tried various word processors such as word pad and word, but these won't open it in the correct format. What other options did you have in mine?
