CurlyWhirly
I've recently bought myself a new Vista PC and I was wondering if anyone knows if you can buy a smaller version of my current IDE cable that I'm using in the old PC (this one) as the new PC's case only has one cradle so I don't need a third connector and it will improve airflow in my case?I'm not sure if it's possible as there's usually a master and slave device on each IDE channel Thanks. -pops-
I think you're stuck with the three connectors on an IDE cable but, you can get different lengths, which may help. The different length I mean is a longer one so that it can be better routed inside the case so that there is less interference with the airflow. (I already have it set as master BTW)Does it matter whether I use the end connector or the one in the middle?Cheers.
