kokokokaka Posted January 10, 2009 Report Share Posted January 10, 2009 Hi.I would like to create a partition on my harddrive but even though I have roughly 50 GB of free space, I can only create a 2 GB large partition.I would like the partition to be around 20 GB but how do I make it that big when the Vista Disk Manager only allows me to create a 2 GB one? Seshomaru Samma Posted January 11, 2009 Report Share Posted January 11, 2009 I don't know much about Vista , but if you use the Gparted live CD (find it here ), you can make any kind/size of partition you like.Go to the link I gave youDownload gparted-live CD (an ISO file)Burn to a CD "as an image" - most burning softwares would do that for you , if you don't have one -google for "infrarecorder", it's freeBoot from CD- it has a simple graphical interface , you can read the guides in the website for more information Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think Vista wants around about 8GB for its own use but I may have read that one wrong when I read it, but it's a greedy pig of an OS!
