catgate Posted January 30, 2009 Report Share Posted January 30, 2009 I see the EU and China have agreed to hold a summit meeting.This raises a very serious problem. For a good number of years summit meetings have been held for a variety of purposes. Most of these meetings have brought forth stilborn, nonsensical plans and pledges. These summit meetings have also grown in frequency and size as time has gone on.My main concern with this proposed EU/China summit is that, despite the number of people who have trampled about on this summit for years, and of course flattened it until it is no longer a summit but more of a small plateau, the number of people in the EU and China is so massive that the summit will be transformed into a valley if they all go.In the interest of the planet I shall refuse to attend.
