No Rights To Defragment

Recommended Posts

It would help us if you gave details of your system.

One thing that comes to mind straightaway is: Do you have administrator rights to do this process? As I recall, you cannot defragment on restricted accounts.

If you are admin and still unable to defrag, see if its a lack of free space (you need atleast 15% for the windows tool, but programs like Diskeeper can defrag with lesser free space efficiently) or if some program is interrupting its task.

If you cant solve the issue, get Diskeeper and install it to run automatically. You dont need to defrag manually after that.
