TheKirk
Hi there!I'm sick and tired of Windows Vista, so I've installed Windows XP on my computer (Windows Vista was installed when I bought it...), using my old XP disc...So I uninstalled Vista and installed XP, and now I can't connect to the internet (I'm connecting with cable through a hub, which works with the other computers installed).. Nothing happens at all when I plug the internet cable to the computer, and I was wondering if it's because I'm using old software on new hardware? If that is the case, what can I do about it?Specs: - OS: Windows XP Home SP3 - AMD Turion 64 processorplease tell if you need more information.. Boris
Have you installed all the relevant motherboard/graphics card drivers for XP ?
Ubuntuser
you also might need drivers for your network card if that's what you're using.
y2khardtop
you should be able to get the type of LAN card from device manager, then track it down on another PC. Once the correct driver is installed, just run the connection wizard to activate a connection
andsome
You could also have difficulties in activating it. :D
