Delete User Account

Philosophaie, here's the exact steps to follow to safely delete an account without using control userpasswords2 which can be dangerous for several reasons.

From an Administrator Account open Control Panel

On the next screen click on User Accounts

On the next screen click on the Account name that you want to delete

On the next screen you'll see a list of things you can do to that account. The last one should read: "Delete the Account". Click on that and follow the instructions all the way through.

If any of these options are missing, please inform this thread.

N.B. Microsoft assures us that's impossible to delete an Administrator account from within itself - you always have to use another Admin account. Well, that's what MS tell us. But one of the things that can be done using control userpasswords2 is to change the hidden Administrator's account details from within another Admin account & then forget what what you've done and not be able to open it. -pops- probably did something like that. Therefore in my view it's best not to use control password2 unless you know what you are doing.
