Magua Posted February 22, 2009 Report Share Posted February 22, 2009 In a recent office discussion with my colleagues regarding online viruses, worms, malware, and trojans, I was told that those who own a MAC seem to suffer the least from these annoyances. Is that true?Incidentally, the market share for OS favors Windows (91.96%) over MAC (7.75%) and others (.79%) as of January 2008. Could it be that there are more issues with Windows users since there are more owners of this OS? Also, do software companies favor Windows as an OS over MAC since I've notice that most programs whether an office apllication or game run in Windows ONLY?Anyone else's thoughts, comments, or concerns would be most welcome. Hb_Kai Posted February 22, 2009 Report Share Posted February 22, 2009 Windows are wider, more known, and more easy to use and learn about computers.Linux and Mac systems can be more "locked down" to safeguard against viruses and even more for Mac system settings.
