Unable to startup, help needed quickly

Recommended Posts

Hi

This is really starting to bug, and I have no idea what to do:

Whenever i startup my pc, I end up at the screen where i have to choose between starting in "Safe Mode", "Normal Mode" etc. I have tried choosing every option, but my computer just reboots and I end up at same screen again! Very frustrating..

It started right after i rebooted to computer to install some updates...

I run Windows XP Home

I really hope someone can help!

Hello Brugskunst.

Do you know how to get into the BIOS to change the boot up preference? It is usually a matter of hitting "Del" , or "F2" or even "F11"(depending on the machine) just after switching on and before it starts the boot up process.

Yup, that did it... Thanks a bunch!

I don't know if i should make a new topic for this, but i'll try here first:

I reinstalled XP, and i could start my pc, so, that's great...

But now, a new problem has occured: I have no sound at all, and my device manager is completely gone.. I've tried to search for it, but i can't find anything... What to do?

Greetings, Brugskunst
