With it was a flyer "50 reasons why it is better to pay by Monthly Direct Debit", and there were pictures of 50 pound coins on the front.The bill was an estimated one for £300, and, after picking myself up from ther floor and doing a meter reading and some arithmatic, it turned out to be £65 overestimated!!!!!It's not just the banks who are toxic. catgate Posted April 3, 2009 Author Report Share Posted April 3, 2009 You're right Alan. I missed Feb out...well I called it Mar. Edit:- Well on looking again it was half of Dec. plus Jan./Feb./Mar. They seem to be as accurate with time as they do with estimating usage. I was struggling to see the screen and the key board through the engulfing cloud of steam that was coming out on my ears, and the touch of the red mist that was nibbling at my self composure. I do not wear long John's. He is a nice chap, and a good neighbour, but I would not wear his, even if he offered them at a discount price.The electricity usage is lighting, microwave, freezer, TV, computer. In summer there is a bit of workshop power used, but much less on other things. We use LPG for heating and we have a 5 burner gas hob for much of the cooking. Our Flogas bill since mid November has been £1200, with about £150 worth remaining in the tank. That is eye-watering for a modern bungalow.
