catgate
I suggest you go to http://housecall.trendmicro.com/uk/ and run "housecall".When that has done its job come back, but please remember it is necessary to know what you are running. ie machine spec., OS etc Also any error numbers in the messages. Boris
Make sure that Norton and Avast are not both running at the same time !If they are both up to date with definitions, I would suggest that you either - disable one of them so it does not run when you boot up or - uninstall one completely. The other two are fine as they are not anti-virus applications as such. Boris
It will solve one of your problems :) - but not the one you have asked for help about.I think that your posted problem is to do with one of your Registry hives being corrupted ?Can you post a screenshot of the actual message you get ?Can you get past the Welcome screen ?Does your PC boot OK if you start it in Safe Mode ? andsome
When you get rid of one of your AV programs, I think that most on here would strongly suggest that you dump Norton. :D
