Used original Dell recovery CD to reinstall.Result - Fatal error - product catalog some files missing. Tried Shift + F10, command line change of catroot2 to catold found on another forum. For my part I would advise everyone to never, ever buy a computer or laptop unless you also get the full installation CD with it.
