CurlyWhirly Posted April 27, 2009 Report Share Posted April 27, 2009 I'm running Vista Home Premium (64 bit) and I've recently upgraded to the latest version of Spyware Blaster (v 4.2)It's not a big problem as the desktop icon still works when I click on it but I'm just curious as to the reason why it isn't displaying properly? -pops- Posted April 27, 2009 Report Share Posted April 27, 2009 I've been getting the same effect recently on XP with all MS Office programs and on Dragon Naturally Speaking. The only thing that seems to cure it is a System Restore to the previous day or a restore from backup/clone. The icon for this is also the same as that complained about, so it is not just MS programs. All my previously created desk top icons remain the same. I am at my daughters at present, but will make a point tomorrow of creating another short cut after deleting the old one. Right click on the desk top and select Create shortcut. Then paste in the URL. Click next. You can then right click and re name the shortcut.
