AlanHo Posted May 4, 2009 Report Share Posted May 4, 2009 I have a question for you inspired by my curiosity whilst shopping.On some of the large supermarket and shopping malls around here in sunny Solihull I frequently see an awning alongside a van with a banner bearing the words "Free Windscreen Chip Repair" or "Free Paint Chip Repair". Under the awning sits a bored looking chap, doing absolutely nothing. Only on rare occasions have I seen him working on a car.My question is this. How on earth does the poor chap make any money if he just does free repairs. I am obviously missing something here - but I don't mind one bit if some kind soul on the forum can educate me.
