ivtec Posted May 13, 2009 Report Share Posted May 13, 2009 hi guys: i have a Compact presaio 6000 and i'm having problems with the windows XP i don't have a recovery CD and i don't want to spend money on a Windows XP solftware,so i have here another same Maxtor HD from a Emachines that also has a Good XPwindows and i swapped and it doesn't work and i started it with pressing repeatly F10 and went in Bios set up i tried to test it and it doesn't pass the test,My question is there any settings that i should change,i'm using (Defaults) These are settings sorry if i can't be more specific.16PerformanceMax VDNABit Shift Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Dencandy Posted May 13, 2009 Report Share Posted May 13, 2009 I'm pretty sure that won't work, because the operating system on the Maxtor will be configured to only run on the hardware of the computer from which it came. The longer they have gone on, the better they have got at making sure you get less than you thought for more than you like.You have to pay the piper, you know....even if the tune is off key.
