Hb_Kai
I found a few things out about Truetransparency. http://www.processlibrary.com/directory/fi...uetransparency/http://www.file.net/process/truetransparency.exe.htmlPlus another bunch of them on Google. Is this the same one? Are you able to note where you downloaded it from it not?Anyways, Trend Micro have a nice, useful online scanner. Perhaps you should give that a go if the problem still persists after your scans.
Dencandy
Do you mean System Restore is disabled? If it's working use it to restore to a time before this problem occured. If you can't boot fully you can access System Restore from Safe Mode. If you don't have a backup or any restore points, the only alternatives you're left with is to use Repair with the installation disk or re-install Windows (also requires the installation disk). Hb_Kai
There is one other thing... I remember posting on here a website I found who are giving away an ISO file which must be burnt to a disc and then using this disc will boot your computer and scan for viruses, for similar problems like this.It may be useful, just, I don't know where that post is... :(

Hb_Kai
Disk Cleanup may solve your problem.Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup (Because they spell it wrong. :) )Another thing I can think of is CHKDSK? But other than that, I don't know.
jason.b.c
well, disk clean up didn't do it, guess i'll try chkdisk...
Dencandy
If you have a mini-laptop with CD drive etc, there might be a hidden area on the disk with a copy of the operating system on it for carrying out repairs. I suggest you go to the manufacturer's website and search for the model number of your computer for more information about it.
jason.b.c
still happening , tried everything suggested here and i'm out of ideas..

Dencandy
Users complain that there's no way to reinstall the operating system on this Acer Netbook. But Acer say there is, it's in the manual. If you don't have one you can get a copy FROM THIS SITE.My guess is you may have been using this machine way beyond it's capabilities. These Netbooks are really only for using email and surfing the internet. Anything beyond that, like downloading & running third party software (especially if it's graphics intensive) and they cannot cope.

ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Well, of course. So you don't have an install disk, you don't have a backup, you don't have a restore point - that is not a good situation.Re-reading your original post, you get message "Can't access C:/Windows/system32/rundll32 "? Do you have that file? What version is it?Since you cannot run the system file checker, maybe you can download it from somewhere?

rong
Can't help with the problem, but I believe you have windows in a recovery partition on your harddrive, so if you can find out how to activate it you should be able to do a repair.
