WORKS v OFFICE

Recommended Posts

As you've found out Works files are ridiculously incompatible, even Office can't touch them without a file converter. One of the best options I've found is Open Office GO-OO which has enhanced microsoft compatibility, including Works files.

If however you're sending word processing documents created on Works Word Processor, you'll need to use File/Save As then select Word rather than Works document from the drop down list. This changes the format of the saved document and should fix compatibility issues with recipients of e-mail.
