Have you tried media players other than the Windows one?

If yes, is the sound interference the same on these?

If no, I recommend you try a different player to test, if nothing else.

I almost never use WMP, preferring independent players such as Jet Audio or Audacity for sound and GOM or VLC for video. There are plenty of others available - for free as well as paid for although I don't see any point in paying for one as the freebies are more than adequate.

The noise is there constantly, but it just recently started when i decided to configure windows media centre.. its the mosst annoying noise in the world, even more annoying then windows live messenger XD
