Horizon
Hi friends,I have a computer with an nvidia VGA, know this from the label on its chips. I haven't any CD driver for it. Windows use generic drivers. I can't find the proper driver from the nvidia.com (even with its automatic find feature) and various websites :( . I have failed with the Everest program too. Here is Everest report:-------[ EVEREST Ultimate Edition ]------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Version EVEREST v4.50.1330 Benchmark Module 2.3.224.0 Homepage http://www.lavalys.com/ Report Type Quick Report [ TRIAL VERSION ] Computer BEHINCTR-49491D Generator Behin-Control Operating System Microsoft Windows XP Professional 5.1.2600 (WinXP Retail) Date 2009-06-26 Time 15:50--------[ GPU ]--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [ AGP 4x: nVIDIA Vanta ] Graphics Processor Properties: Video Adapter nVIDIA Vanta GPU Code Name NV5 PCI Device 10DE-002F / 0000-0000 (Rev 15) Process Technology 0.25 um Bus Type AGP 4x @ 4x Memory Size 32 MB GPU Clock 125 MHz RAMDAC Clock 250 MHz Pixel Pipelines 2 TMU Per Pipeline 1 Vertex Shaders Not Supported Pixel Shaders Not Supported DirectX Hardware Support DirectX v6.0 Pixel Fillrate 250 MPixel/s Texel Fillrate [ TRIAL VERSION ] Memory Bus Properties: Bus Type SDR Bus Width 64-bit Real Clock 133 MHz Effective Clock 133 MHz Bandwidth [ TRIAL VERSION ] Graphics Processor Manufacturer: Company Name NVIDIA Corporation Product Information http://www.nvidia.com/page/products.html Driver Download http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp Driver Update http://driveragent.com?ref=59 nVIDIA GPU Registers: nv-000000 20154000 nv-001850 00000001 nv-100000 00000028 nv-101000 8000F4C7 nv-680500 0001E30D nv-680504 00004107I'm using Windows XP SP2.My searches for nvidia Vanta NV5 have failed... -pops-
Is the graphics card giving problems? If not, I suggest you leave it alone - complete with its current drivers. I see many computers that have all but died belonging to people who cannot resist the temptation to fiddle about upgrading this, that and the other without any need to do it. This applies especially to graphics drivers. If the graphics is integrated into the motherboard, the drivers will be on the motherboard disk.If you have a separate, removable card are you certain the details aren't printed on the card itself or in the manual that belongs to the computer? Horizon
Thank for reply...The lack of proper driver is obvious, specially when moving windows and probably in the future when running games or ...The graphic adapter is separate and removable. My mistake, the nVIDIA word was on the card fan. There're these letters on the back of card: RTVA-12A(1) After all, shouldn't exist the driver for such card in the net? I repeat that I have no disk or booklet with this computer. Thank you so much.

Mlaningham
If that does not work, you can look on the graphics card itself and look for an exact Model or Serial number on the chipset of the graphics card. Write that down then google it. You should be able to find proper graphics drivers from the serial or exact model number.
