I had to shut it down.The problem is that ever since it's blocking constantly whenever I try to unzip something... catgate Posted August 2, 2009 Report Share Posted August 2, 2009 Here are some Ideas that might be completely wrong.Over heating due to fans being full of dust.A bit of duff RAM.A full or overloaded virtual memory/swap page.A HDD on its way out.It might help others, more versed than I in the Black Arts, if you gave more detail about what it is that freezes up. theyaremine Posted August 2, 2009 Author Report Share Posted August 2, 2009 ok after all it's not only when using the winrar, it's frozes from time to time when i open something... i ran a run in test and here are the results:I've replaced my HD recently because the last one was broken but it seems like the problem it's still with the HD?I'm running Vista Home Premium.
