AlanHo
I am about to build a computer for a friend - most of the parts have arrived and the remainder are due tomorrow.I have amused myself by reading the manuals for the case, motherboard, CPU, Cooler and graphics card. Not one of them warns against using magnetic screwdrivers to assemble the beast.Am I being unduly careful - it would certainly help if magnetic tools were OK - I am bound to drop some screws into the case and have fun finding them. Boris
Take care when using a magnetic driver to fit the motherboard. Try a bit of blu-tack on the end of a non-magnetic to initially locate/start the fixing screws in the motherboard holes ? Once they're in raise the driver, remove the blu-tack and then tighten the screws :)You should be OK to use a magnetic to fix in the drives. Alan2273
I have always used a magnetic screwdriver for everything involved in putting a computer together and have never had a problem.Welcome to the forum, Mathu60, enjoy your stay.
