Someone once called me and told me that i had won a digital camera and a mobile phone. All he needed was my bank details to set up a direct debit for the phone calls. How do i make sure that my firewall is up and everything like that? I run AVG antivirus as well as norton internet are they good or is there better ones out there? I run AVG antivirus as well as norton internet are they good or is there better ones out there?You should NEVER EVER run two anti virus programs at the same time, Norton Internet security is both A lot on here use AVG INTERNET security, not just the Anti virus although personally I prefer to pay for ESET Nod 32. I don't know anyone who knows anything about computers who will allow anything to do with Norton anywhere near to their computer. The problem is uninstalling it fully, it can be quite a problem, as it is so invasive. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb Posted August 20, 2009 Report Share Posted August 20, 2009 Check in Control Panel (Security Center?) if the firewall is active; it should be by default on Vista.I agree with Andsome that more than one antivirus can adversely affect your computer's operation. If you can get rid of Norton, that would be best, but it's not always easy. You may have to download some removal tool from the Symantec website (http://service1.symantec.com/Support/tsgen...005033108162039).I think AVG is fine, as long as you keep it updated.
