TERBOW Posted September 1, 2003 Report Share Posted September 1, 2003 [o/s Windows xp pro. problem> whenever the PC is started or a CD is placed in the drive A message pops up every time "Windows Installer" (preparing to install) then a progress indicator starts, goes about half way through process then goes off, i cannot determine which program it is trying to install. i have tried sfc /scannow to see if it can repair any missing files,also defraged/run virus program/ system restore/ and registry mechanic.But still get message, Can anyone please advise, Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
