ladieu
Vista Home Premium 64bitGot upgraded to newest itunes (9)now it won't start. The process shows in the task manager but it never comes up. If you try to uninstall the windows installer comes up and says "preparing to remove" but never makes it past that. Same if you try to install... just says "preparing to install" but never actually does anything. All other programs work fine.Lovin' this new itunes version!!Nick

Hb_Kai
Here's a more "in-depth" answer:iTunes is not 64bit even for Windows. There's an installer for compatibility with the 64bit version of Windows Vista, but the application itself is still 32bit.Having iTunes as a 64bit application would gain nothing, so I doubt that it's a high priority for Apple. But I have found out that there is a solution to getting it working on 64bit Windows OS' but, it disables the ability of iTunes to sync with an Ipod.
