Coreper
hi,i was wondering if it is possible to create some kind of wireless network using multiple notebooks/laptops so they can browse eachothers files, play games via that network.i think this is possible because a laptop can both recieve and send information using its wireless adapter...if you know anything about this, please let me know! catgate
Presumably you just set up a normal wireless network using a wireless router. Before the internet arrived we had wired networks so it just an extension of that.

I know it is not necessarily to have a router for connecting just two computers by wireless, but I thought a router was the prefered way for multiple computers. Howeve,r I feel sure that the principle must be the same what ever the OS. I suppose it is just a question of poking about amongst the drop down boxes and things until you find something. Alternatively just hang on until someone who really knows about these things turns up. Things have certainly been quiet today. I think they must all be out gathering in provisions for the winter months ahead.
