Windows vista recovery

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I just bought a new laptop, the 'hp pavilion dv6-1215 sd'.

I have one 'local C drive', and one 'Recovery'. Few days back i installed windows 7, to try it.

But i can't activate my recovery anymore in the boot menu. When i press it, the computer just go on with starting up.

I realy need windows vista back because windows 7 have only 30 days free trial. (and i have a windows vista licence). Also some drivers don't work on windows 7.

What can i do?

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Tijmenflash.

Presumably, when you press "it" you mean the F11 button on booting ?

Before you started "experimenting" did you use the HP Recovery Manager to create a set of Recovery Disks ?

If so, insert the first CD in the optical drive, restart the laptop, and then follow the on-screen instructions.

If not - you have a big problem !!!

I think HP do a recovery option without the Recovery Disks
