Belatucadrus Posted October 25, 2009 Report Share Posted October 25, 2009 There can be differences between USB 1 & 2, but they usually only appear on older W9X PC systems where the device drivers needed to be loaded. How it could affect a PVR is something I can't really say. Try contacting Topfield their website hosts some software and firmware downloads though I don't know if they're relevant to this issue. For many purposes, this is not apparent but for intensive applications such as video, USB is decidedly "flaky" and has difficulty in keeping up - if it works at all.Having said that, I might also say that I'm not a fan of USB sticks and have had, and have known of, a number of disasters with them. They are VERY sensitive to needing the correct disconnection procedure and can easily be destroyed by being disconnected at the wrong time (e.g while writing or reading).
