All the programs were uninstalled which is what I wanted. However, the harddrive was still almost full. There is some old program data in C: and a bunch of junk in OldWindows that I dont want. I wanted a completely clean format but I never got the option for that.Also I downloaded the file as an ISO and burned it on a DVD.How can I do it? -pops- Posted October 25, 2009 Report Share Posted October 25, 2009 The recommended way of doing a clean install of W7 is to boot up the computer with the disk already in place and follow the onscreen instructions. Is this the way you did it?I've found as well with upgrade installs of W7 I've done is that all the old files are retained in the recycle bin until manually deleted after completion. Seshomaru Samma Posted October 25, 2009 Report Share Posted October 25, 2009 It's possible that you have installed Win7 alongside your old OS. In that case ,you should be able to safely erase the old OS from your C drive providing you identify it correctly. Maybe you can post a screenshot of your C drive content I was quite disappointed with Win7's installer .
