Cooki3s
I have this USB cable that I had have it for quite a long time. And today I bought a Hp deskjet f4400 all in one. The installation went perfect and everything, but when it ask me to plug in the USB cable, it would not recognize it.That's what it shows. Does anyone know why? Boris
If it is really old ? - is it a USB 1.1 cable rather than a USB 2.0 ? It may just have failed ?Just replace it with a new one, they are cheap enough :) - only a couple of dollars.
-pops-
Is the USB port an auxiliary device (a hub or separate PCI card)? If so, connecting the printer to a USB port on the motherboard. If it is connected to the motherboard, try a different socket/port.
