AlanHo
I am not sure that you can do this within windows - you probably need third party patrition management software.I use Paragon Partition Manager - obtained via a magazine free cover DVD

ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
I hear that Gparted can do almost anything. (I personally use Partition Magic, so I have never tried Gparted.)
Alan2273
gparted doesn't actaully merge partitions, it does extend (grow) partitions into adjacent unallocated space.

BruceSmith
Hi Tiel,I am using Partition Magic 8 which is the latest version.I am using the software since 4 years and it works fine with any type of hard disk. There are many other functions available with this software like chkdsk, check error etc. This software is also compatible with vista, windows7.The tools is easy to use and the data of your drive will not get deleted.
