jplot
This one has really got me tied up in knots. I have been using Word 2000 for a number of years and have never come across this happening before.I have this fairly large Word doc and it is loaded with a lot of pictures and diagrams. This file has existed for quite some time, and is a work in progress that I am in the middle of editing. Now suddenly, after I load the file and display it,I find the pictures and diagrams have all dissapeared (mostly jpeg pics). Another strange thing about this happening is, when I hit the Print Preview symbol, all the pictures are in place ? In order to edit this document I of course need the pictures in place in the Print View.Just the day before this happened I had been working in the drawing mode in Word 2000, and thought I may have thrown the wrong switch somewhere but after an hour or so of looking and searching, I have not been able to find out where there might be a command that would allow a Word document to show up with all the pictures removed.Any help would be appreciated.jplot
Seshomaru Samma
Can't really help you, but...did you try opening it with another office suite like Open Office or IBM Lotus Symphony (both a free download ,compatible with MS office)

jplot
Thanks for your efforts to help. I would not want to even try to use some outside the box, program, as what I really was wanting to do is find out where this command, to remove pictures from a document, might be located. I am on a relatively new computer with Vista and do not care to run the system restore either.I have a Windows 7 disc coming in the mail and will be eager to see what happens to that same Word 2000 file, after I get 7 running.I might ad that if I use the Word 2007 program that Vista came with, then the pictures all show up. But that program is so far removed with the 2000 that I am familiar with that I would need to learn Word all over again. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
So, most likely Word 2007 modified your document in a way that Word 2000 cannot recognize it anymore?
